What are the production steps?
What is enamelled steel?
- Enamelling consists of depositing one or more layers of enamel on a previously prepared steel surface. The enamel results from the melting of the glass, called sintering, at a very high temperature (1200/1400°C). The glass frits are then crushed and sieved so that the enamel can be deposited on the steel
- The whole thing is fired at 800°C and presto, we get enamel plates that will then be reworked
Why is it healthy and where does it come from?
- The smooth, shiny hard surface of the enamel does not absorb odors, does not retain bacteria and makes cleaning easy. You'll have a cup in your hands that will stand the test of time!
- All our enamelled steel cups are produced at our partner Münder Email in Germany. Münder Email is a company that was founded in 1980 by Reinhold Weber in reaction to the gradual disappearance of know-how in Europe
