What are the production steps?
What is enamelled steel?
- Enameling consists of depositing one or more layers of enamel on a previously prepared steel surface. The enamel results from the fusion of glass, called sintering, at very high temperatures (1200/1400°C). The glass frits are then crushed and sieved so that the enamel can be deposited on the steel.
- The whole thing is fired at 800°C to produce enamel slabs that are then reworked.
Why is it healthy and where does it come from?
-The hard, smooth, shiny surface of the enamel doesn't absorb odors or retain bacteria, making it easy to clean. You'll have a cup that stands the test of time!
- All our enamelled steel tumblers are produced by our partner Münder Email, in Germany. Münder Email was founded in 1980 by Reinhold Weber as a reaction to the gradual disappearance of know-how in Europe.
